Are the 10 commandments for us today?  After God rescued his people from Egypt He gave them the Law to show them what life with Him as their God should look like.  The 10 commandments outline the only appropriate response for someone who has been so loved by the one and only true God who saves his people.  They remind how far we fall short of God's glory and show us how much we need Jesus to save us.  At the same time, they show us how, by His Spirit, we who have been saved from our sins can live for God and truly love Him and others.
